Silverwing is a children's book series about bats created by Kenneth Oppel. It has a trilogy, which has Silverwing, Sunwing, and Firewing. There is also a prequel called Darkwing. Silverwing and Sunwing both feature Shade Silverwing as the main protagonist, with Shade's son Griffin Silverwing being Firewing's protagonist. In Darkwing, the main protagonist is a Chiropter named Dusk.
Along with the novels, there is a Silverwing TV series, which at first loosley follows the events of the first book, but then diverts into it's own plotline.
